The Banker names BNP Paribas Most Innovative Investment Bank of 2019

The Banker awards BNP Paribas its top prize – alongside recognition for innovation in the Bonds and Climate Change and Sustainability categories.

The Banker, one of the leading publications in the banking and finance sector, again hosted its annual Investment Banking Awards in October, recognising excellence in the capital markets and rewarding organisations that succeed in driving forward innovation, serving clients and ultimately transforming the market.

In 2019, BNP Paribas  won recognition from the Banker for its performance in the following categories:

  • Most Innovative Investment Bank of the Year
  • Most Innovative Investment bank, Western Europe
  • Most Innovative Investment Bank, Bonds
  • Most Innovative Investment Bank for Climate Change & Sustainability

BNP Paribas was commended for its sustainability and digital capabilities. The Banker’s editor, Brian Caplen said: “BNP Paribas put in a stunning performance at this year’s Investment Banking awards winning in bonds, climate change and sustainability and Western Europe as well as winning the overall prize of Most Innovative Investment Bank of the Year. The ceremony took place in London on the evening of 3 October, and was attended by leaders from across BNP Paribas’ businesses – Global Banking, Primary Capital Markets and Sustainable Finance, as well as UK Country Head of BNP Paribas Anne Marie Verstraeten.
