BNP Paribas Energy Commodities Export Project (ECEP) brings together BNP Paribas' long term expertise in the energy, raw materials sectors as well as in export, project and asset financing. As a global partner, and thanks to its worldwide network, ECEP provides a wide array of products from short term trade finance to medium and long term credits, from simple transactions to multi-sourcing and structured financial solutions. Commodity Trade Finance for which BNP Paribas is a worldwide leader, provides transactional and structured short term financing to trading companies, niche players or multi-commodity houses.
Commodity Structured Finance proposes tailor-made financing solutions to commodity producers and processors based in emerging countries. Structured transactions include reserve-based lending, pre-export financing, customized inventory management solutions, and corporate lending to major corporations.
Commodity Corporate Finance offers all types of corporate financing products to major energy and commodity players in mature markets, including producers, traders, and multi-commodity trading houses involved in energy, metals, mining and soft commodities.
Commodity Derivatives includes a wide range of risk management tools such as Futures and OTC Derivatives. It serves the global energy and metals trading needs of our clientele, consisting of producers & consumers including several utilities, refineries and airlines in North and South America, Europe and in the Far East, gas marketers, trading companies, hedge funds and other financial institutions and dealers.
Export Finance provides Export Credit Agencies-backed solutions including mono or multi-source credit to both corporate and mid-cap customers located world wide and acting in any industrial sector. Our customers are both exporters and buyers and/or borrowers. Export Finance covers 28 Export Credit Agencies with 15 dedicated desks in exporting countries.
Project Finance finances assets in the energy or infrastructure sector on a long term basis. Repayment of the debt is ensured by the operating cash-flow of the project without full guarantee from the shareholders. The dedicated team offers advisory services and can arrange or provide loans, arrange a transaction in the capital markets, or tap other resources of institutional finance.
Global Trade Services optimizes, secures and finances international trade transactions for large corporate and mid-size companies active in various sector. It offers, through its Trade Centers networks, trade services including country/banks risks management, documentary operations, guarantees, trade finance, structured trade and suite of Internet e-Trade Finance Products.
Asset Finance provides BNP Paribas' clients with fixed-asset based financing solutions and develops innovative leasing structures, acting through Capstar Partners as arranger or advisor. Asset Finance also offers a global coverage to the air transportation and shipping businesses. Leveraging on expertise in these sectors, Asset Finance proposes a complete product range (asset-based financings, capital markets, cash management, etc.) ensuring that the customer enjoys the benefits of a one stop shop with a coherent approach to its needs and an understanding of its industry.

Our Energy Commodities Export Project expertise is concentrated in 4 business centers in Paris, New York, Geneva and Singapore with affiliates or representative offices in more than 40 countries. In total, we have more than 1,200 experienced individuals and support staff. They are further assisted by a global network of BNP Paribas personnel that provides intimate and up-to-date knowledge of local conditions in countries around the world.
