RSS Feed:

What Is RSS?

RSS, or Real Simple Syndication, is an XML file that allows visitors to receive news and other updates as they happen. This means that visitors don't have to check the site several times a day for updates. The last information published on this website can thus come to enrich your Internet site automatically or to supplement your sources of already aggregate information via your RSS feeds reader.

What tools do I need to use RSS?

To start using RSS, you need a special RSS reader that displays RSS content feeds from Web sites you select. There are many different RSS readers available, many of which are free of charge. Most are available as desktop software that you download and install on your computer. Several Web-based news readers are available as well.

RSS READERS:

Windows : Newz Crawler, FeedDemon, Awasu
Mac OS X : Newsfire, NetNewsWire
Web Bloglines : My Yahoo!, NewsGator
You can find here a list of RSS Readers (Google).

Configuration:

What are cookies and why do you use them?

Cookies identify users and prepare customised Web pages for them. When you enter a Web site that uses cookies, you may be asked to provide information, such as your name and interests. This information is packaged into a cookie and sent to your Web browser, which stores it on your PC's hard drive for later use. The next time you request a page, your browser will send the cookie to the Web server. The server can use this information to present you with custom Web pages.
Aside from our literature order form, which stores your personal information in a cookie so that you don't have to provide it again the next time you place an order, the cookies this site creates do not contain any personal information. We use cookies to determine whether a page request comes from someone who has already logged on, so that we can avoid presenting duplicate information that users may have already seen.
Some browsers can be configured to warn the user whenever a site sends it a cookie. If your browser provides an edit message asking you to accept or reject the use of cookies, you should accept. Parts of the site will not work without them.
